Felted Oyster Shell Ornaments with Michelle Provencal
Join us for a crafty morning of felted ornaments hosted by Michelle Provencal. In this workshop, we will use basic needle felting techniques to create three-dimensional oyster shell ornaments with layered natural coloring and hand sewn embellishments. The end result is a life like oyster shell ornament that you can cherish for years to come.
Michelle is a Maine based home décor designer with over 20 years experience designing for well known home brands including Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, and Arhaus. In 2017 she launched Thirdlee & Co. as a home for her newly created needle-felted designs. Thirdlee handcrafted ornaments are recognized for their sophisticated treatment of seaside themes and attention to detail.
No experience is necessary, all tools and materials will be provided.

Learn the ancient Japanese garden art of Kokedama, growing plants in moss covered ball form, and get your creative juices flowing with seasonal cocktails. You’ll be able to select the type of foliage or succulent plant you’d like and will learn how to wrap and display your very own kokedama. Add a new plant display to your ever growing collection.

Vintage Franken-Babies with Kelly Jo Shows
Come join Kelly Jo Shows as she teaches you the tools of the trade in how she builds her Vintage Tin Baby Dolls. Kelly will be here to guide you along as you deconstruct and then reconstruct your very own little creature creation.
All materials, tools, and instruction provided. Bandaids will also be on hand.
Planting Plants in Pumpkins Workshop
Get your hands dirty and join us for our pumpkin planter workshop. You’ll get to arrange a few fall annuals in a pumpkin of your choice, that you’ll be carving into. Light refreshments will be provided.
Bonsai 101 Workshop
We’re very excited to invite you to our first bonsai workshop. In this bonsai 101 workshop, you’ll be able to start training your very own bonsai starter. You’ll learn the basics of bonsai care, how to begin shaping your selected plant to your liking, and how to continue to care for bonsai for years to come.

Paper Beach Rose Workshop hosted by Meghan Hershfield of The Green Paper Flower
Summer is the perfect time to get crafty. Come join Meghan Hershfield, here at Snug Harbor Farm, for a day of crafting paper beach roses, Rosa Rugosa, by hand. Meghan is the creator behind The Green Paper Flower, where she crafts charming paper flowers for the interior. In this workshop you will learn how to create your own realistic paper beach rose, out of tissue paper, floral tape and wire, to take home and enjoy.
All materials will be provided, please bring your own scissors. No experience necessary, but must be at least 15 years old. Space is limited, reserve your spot today. Please aim to arrive around prior to start time, as you won’t want to miss the beginning of this workshop.
Summer Time Floral Time
Join us for an immersive floral arranging class. You’ll learn the techniques on how to make a lovely summer arrangement in a vase to take home and enjoy!

Topiary Workshop
Come learn all about topiaries with Tony. In this immersive workshop you will learn how we start, prune, maintain and grow our topiaries. You’ll get to choose between myrtle or lemon cypress, and will be given everything you’ll need to get started on taking care of topiaries.

Wolff Works
Silas Wolff of Wolff Works will be here at Snug Harbor the Saturday before Father’s Day, to talk about his blacksmith work and the science that goes into making his tools. Silas is a scientist turned blacksmith, who holds a Master of Materials Science and Engineering from UC Berkeley, and a Doctor of Engineering, designing alloys for high temperature applications in Germany. His work is on display and for sale in our shop here at Snug. So if you’re looking for an amazing gift for Dad, here’s your chance to get him something he’ll remember.
Kelly Orchards Talks Apples
Snug will be hosting a walk & talk demonstration on all things apple trees with Arthur Kelly of Kelly Orchards, out of Acton, ME. Arthur Kelly has been a fruit grower for over 40 years. He has been active in the tree fruit industry and has kept up to-date in all aspects of tree fruit production including horticulture, nutrition, varieties and pest management. Join us to learn all about the various types of apples they have at their pick you own orchard, as well as best techniques to care for and maintaining your apple trees.

Sakonnet Plant Fair
We’re exited to be setting up this year, at the Sakonnet Plant Fair. This is the 4th year for this famed rural plant fair. Expect to see an assortment of the coolest garden material from unique nurseries from the northeast.
The sale will once again be held at Veterans Field in Little Compton, RI, more precisely 3 Meetinghouse Lane, Little Compton, RI 02837
This is a one day, rain or shine event.

Easter Sunday
Snug will be close Easter Sunday to allow our employees a day to spend with family. We will reopen Monday at 9am.
Easter Egg Hunt
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is back for 2025! The day will start with our very own Easter Parade where we stroll around the property in our finest Easter attire, with hat making in case you forget your bonnet at home. To follow will be our notorious free for all egg hunt, with roped off greenhouses for the littles to safely hunt in. Afterwards we will have baby chicks, our beloved Bunny, a baby lamb or two in our barn, along with face painting, and games for all. Refreshments will be provided.

Snug's dear friend, Stephanie Pilk, of PILK Design Collective, will be helping us turn up the heat in the greenhouse with this immersive floral workshop. We'll be playing with a hot, bright palette to stoke the embers of your soul and spark your creativity in flower form. It's a deep dive, full on sensory experience with practical, mechanical lessons on how to build a badass bouquet. Make it a special day with your sweetheart, or bring your besties for the perfect Galentine's Day date. Inside The Shop, we will have Kathy Oberman Tracy demonstrating how to make and use organic candied flowers with delectable treats. Kathy is a well known classically trained chef & food stylist. Currently she enjoys combining her love of food, herbs and gardening while teaching private cooking classes.
