From Garden to Vase: How to Harvest and Design with Garden Flowers with Elizabeth Brown

Join us for an afternoon of conversation and floral design with Maine gardener Elizabeth Brown, author of The Beginner’s Cut Flower Garden. We will discuss cohesive color palette, easy to grow "cut and come again" flowers, perennials with long vase life, best practice for harvesting, and sustainable floral design. Participants will also create a garden inspired arrangement with a curated collection of stunning garden fresh blooms.

Elizabeth Brown is the owner of Foxglove Farmhouse, a regenerative cut flower garden in coastal Maine that brings fresh blooms to the local community. She believes flowers have the power to heal, connect, and bring joy—often when we need it most. Through Foxglove Farmhouse, Elizabeth offers in-person workshops and virtual learning opportunities for beginner gardeners via her digital hub. A Maine Master Gardener Volunteer and certified therapeutic horticulturist, she is the author of The Beginner's Cut Flower Garden, newly published by Timber Press.

All plant material, vessel, instructions are included. Please bring your own pruners, if you have some. Light refreshments will be offered.
